Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.
The quote by Mark Twain “Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.” is a little harsh at first glance and you might object just a little to it. But it is an excellent food for thought for the next time you will be grumpy like a little child, why things don’t turn out the way you want them to… Mark Twain was right. Nothing and no one owes you anything… And even if he/it does you’ll be better off realizing you’re on your own than waiting for some (supposed) debt to be repaid.
